During the 1950s Shell Oil Company added ten 5000 gallon bogie tankers to its fleet to cope with increased demand for petroleum products. They were built on a skeletal underframe and were fitted with 2BP cast bogies. These wagons remained in use until the late 1980s to early 1990s.

The kit consists of polyurethane, lost wax brass, etched brass and pewter castings and is supplied with 2BP bogies and North West Short Line wheel sets.
